Barack Obama is an eloquent speaker I'm sure you would agree. IF Barack Obama was an average speaker do you think he would be the president elect? Please explain your answer!
I am pretty sure Barak would not have been elected without his speaking skills. However, I think it was things people "thought" he was saying that got him elected, and those very things will be what people accuse him of dropping the ball on.
I do not feel that Obama would have been elected if he were not an eloquent speaker. In order for a black man to overcome such a barrier, he had to meet more than just the eloquent speaker part. I believe that he had to look a certain way and be highly educated. Obama fits this to a tee!!!
I would say yes...I guess it is because I am more attuned to the content...to the words and themes themselves, rather than the eloquence with which one delivers them. Yes, Obama IS very eloquent (and one of his best qualities...one our country has been sorely lacking!)but it is the intelligence behind the eloquence that impresses me, and which made me vote for him. :-)
Obama is certainly a gifted speaker. He possess eloquence, finesse and charisma, all of which attracts attention. I think we're dealing with something much more than gift of speech or looks. This country has produced many good speakers who couldn't get elected if Jesus made it so. This country is sorely in need of an individual who possess integrity, humility and a heart for the people. It may have been his ability of great speech that got him there but it will be his ability to keep his finger on the pulse of social & economic realism & the needs of the people. It is a great leader that will fall on his sword for the cause.
I don't believe President Obama would have been elected had it not been for his ability to eloquently express himself. Because of how articulate he is, people are able to relate to him. I voted for him, not because he is a "black" man, but because he is an intelligent, well spoken man and because of his ability to ignite that which is inside of each and everyone of us that knows no color, no race, no creed, level of education and any other man-made barriers. He awakened our voices and for the first time in a long time, we sang in unison and "we, the people", were heard.
